I am Somebody from Nowhere

  
I notice that we look at information or a person, picture and process the information rather quickly with preconceived prejudices at a completely subconscious level. This is a primitive hard wire set up in the brain, that would allow us to move quickly either toward or away from an entity or thing. Unfortunately, when applied in our modern world set up it causes us to miss out on some very meaningful experiences. As an example of this: If I post my business address as XXX Maple St.; Small Town; MS-- how serious will I be taken? Rather if I set up my business address as XXX Park Pl; New York, N.Y. XXXXX..... Admittedly, you look at the N.Y. address as being more substantial and having more veracity than the small town address.
We do the same with people, as was done with Jesus, "can anything good come from Nazareth?" It was too small, too insignificant to foster anything of worth.
All the above to get you and myself to question our knee jerk reaction to some of the information we assimilate and filter through an ancient filter that may NOT lead us to a correct assumption. “The Thinker”

    I like to say: See others not with your eyes, nor with your mind, but with your heart. I have met very few people who are actually able to do that. When I do, they become a friend for life.

The new career as a caregiver. I live in an Oxymoron world

Most of it consisting of moron; defined in Webster’s Dictionary as- mild mental retardation (don’t jump on my butt about being politically correct). If I didn't laugh at the fine mess I am now in, I would be secured in a mental hospital. Being absolutely unsure of anything, everyone and anyplace has brought me to a state of acute apathy . I now seem to find myself thrust into active retirement whether I want it or not. As I took stock of my finances, I thought I had made an accurate estimate of what I would need to survive on. All these unanticipated expenses seem to just keep coming in, like mortar shells, blasting holes in my budget. I have been forced to become an amateur expert on how to survive on very little money. Boomer's like myself are enjoying the benefits of an efficient government , whether local, state or Federal. Dearth- word for the day

Dearth noun \ˈdərth\ : an inadequate supply : lack <a dearth of monetary resources> I can feel that word. It is part of who I am right now. Dearth of monetary funds Dearth of positive attitude Dearth of discipline Etc., etc., ad infinitum Antonyms: On the other hand I have a wealth of bills, abundance of bad attitude and plenty of apathy Trust me I have not always been like this. This is a new experience for me. I have more than a few f riends and acquaintances that are in hard times and places as bad or worse than mine. As I look around, it gets harder to see anything that is NOT depressing. The city parks are going down hill due to budgetary constraints. It was announced in our local paper that more than a million dollars is outstanding in property taxes from last year that people could not pay.
